After a brief summer break, English Evenings is back! And once again, this September we’re participating in Bi Fest!
Speaking of returns, Nicole Trovato is back by popular demand, this time for another choreography class. We heard your boyband dance requests, and it suddenly came to us: ‘Bi Bi Bi!’ Or, as it’s perhaps more commonly known, NSYNC’s ‘Bye Bye Bye.’
A showcase of short films, that address Bisexual+ Visibility, prejudices, stigmas, fears, experiences, love and heartbreaks.
Grab your popcorn and join us on this Bi+ Short Films Session.
Arquivo Sáfico (Sapphic Archive) brings you another round of conversation about Judith Teixeira (Portuguese Bissexual Poet), at this Bi Fest! From her woman lover to her mad harlequin, come and chat with us about the poetry of Judith Teixeira, which survived the book burns of the 1920s.
Come celebrate Bi+ Visibility with us, singing classic and new songs by Bi, Pan, Omni, Poly, and plurisexual artists in general! You can choose any song you want, from whoever you want (as long as it’s on YouTube in karaoke version 😝).
The “clube de leitura LGBTI+” (in English: LGBTI+ Book Club) is a BLX (Lisbon Public Libraries) activity, in partnership with ILGA Portugal, which aims, through reading and the exchange of ideas, to promote awareness, understanding, and respect for LGBTI+ people in Lisbon libraries and in society at large.
Join us and celebrate diversity through literature!
“Dar Visibilidade à Invisi.BI.lidade II” (in English “Giving Visibility to Invisi.BI.lity”), composed of 210 photographs of Bi, Pan and Omni people, and also texts, poems, paintings, and drawings with Bi+ Visibility, aims to honor Bisexual+ activists, historical figures, celebrities, and people in general, offering a means of creating visibility for a community that is often rendered invisible.
In Lisbon, the exhibition will be divided into two parts: one half here at the LGBTI+ Center and the other half at Aconchego House.
After the opening of the “Giving Visibility to Invisi.BI.lity III” Exhibition, we moved on to a Bi+ Open Talk, a relaxed moment to talk about Bisexuality, Pansexuality, Omnisexuality and other Bi+ identities.
“Bi+ Women and Sapphic People” is a Talk focused on women – Cis, Trans or Non-binary – and other Sapphic People who identify as Bi+ (Bi, Pan, Omni, etc…), addressing the myths, prejudices and experiences surrounding their Bisexuality.
